Once retrieved, players should take his skull to the Castle Karstaag Ruins and place it on Karstaag's throne, summoning the giant's undead ghost for one of the toughest boss fights Skyrim has to offer. Karstaag's skull can be found at the Glacial Cave location in Solstheim. The Dragonborn can find Karstaag's skull and summon the frost giant in a sort of unofficial rematch, making Karstaag one of the few reoccurring characters in the Elder Scrolls series. Karstaag served as a trial for the player character in the Bloodmoon expansion for The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind. Serving as a call-back to the last time an Elder Scrollsgame visited Solstheim, players can encounter Karstaag in the Dragonborn DLC for Skyrim. Getting off the lake as soon as possible helps this fight since it removes Naaslaarum and Volslaarum's biggest advantage over the player. Naaslaarum and Volslaarum will burst from the ice when they attack and provide an incredibly unique dragon battle since the Dragonborn has to fight two dragons while they dive in and out of the frozen lake. The twin dragons have a chance to attack the player at any point while they're walking across the valley's frozen lake or if they approach the Drain Vitality Word Wall. There is no specific quest objective to track down Naaslaarum and Volslaarum, though players may end up baited into this encounter if they happen to notice a certain Word Wall. During Touching the Sky, players travel to the hidden valley known as the Forgotten Vale, a unique location only available once Touching the Sky is started. Two twin dragons can be encountered during the Dawnguard DLC quest Touching the Sky, though they aren't actually part of the quest objectives themselves.
